I’m thinking about abandoning my blog. 572 posts and 400 comments wasn’t a bad run, but I’ve run out of time and interest keeping it updated. I had good intentions of making it a place for music reviews, but I’m not finding the time for that either.

Alas, this is my last post…for now….

i have come to the realization this is probably my favorite SRV song (or at least in the top 3). i can’t get enough of the main riff and the solo is insane. this guy is simply awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOF8QmRBVng&feature=related

it’s not too often you hear of a lady blues artist. but when you do, the music is usually pretty great. i’ve recently stumbled upon joanne shaw taylor’s white sugar (thank you wmse) and love it. she’s got some serious guitar skills and a great blues voice to accompany it. i highly recommend you give her stuff a listen! here’s one of my favs: blackest day
